CASES OF DELAYED JUSTICE IN NIGERIA

Share this:

Many Nigerians are held in custody for a variety of reasons, sometimes indiscriminately by authorities for long periods without getting either a trial, fair hearing or even a conviction.

Babagana Aliu was once an inmate, detained for 8 years without trial . He left northern Nigeria in search of a better life, but little did he know that the city in which he sought refuge, would hold him captive on mere suspicion.

Others too like him have suffered similar fate .

Gist Nigeria highlights the concerns of these unlucky Nigerians caught in the web of delayed justice as they share their experiences.
